These terms govern your use of the Bridging Hearts website, the waitlist, and — once you're invited — the Bridging Hearts app, each operated by Bridging Hearts Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales ("Bridging Hearts", "we", "us"). By using any of them, you agree to these terms.
1. Who can use Bridging Hearts
You must be at least 18 years old. You must provide accurate information about yourself — including your age — and use your own identity. One account per person; accounts are personal and not transferable.
2. The waitlist
Joining the waitlist reserves your interest, not a place or a date. Invitations are sent as cities open, at our discretion. You can leave the waitlist at any time by emailing info@bridginghearts.world.
3. Your conduct
Bridging Hearts is built on respect. You agree not to:
- harass, threaten, deceive, or harm other members;
- impersonate anyone, misrepresent your age or identity, or use photos that are not of you;
- post content that is unlawful, hateful, or sexually explicit, or that involves anyone under 18 in any way;
- use the service for commercial solicitation, spam, or scams;
- scrape, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the service or other members' data.
4. Your content
You own what you post. You grant us the licence needed to operate the service — to store, display and transmit your content to the people you choose to share it with. We don't use your content for advertising, and the licence ends when your content or account is deleted, except where safety records must be retained.
5. Safety and moderation
We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. Content that is harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, or that exploits or endangers anyone — and any user who engages in abusive behaviour — is removed and the account is suspended or permanently banned. Every member can report content or people and block anyone, from anywhere in the app; reports preserve evidence at the time they're made and we act on them, typically within 24 hours.
We verify, review and moderate to keep the community safe, and may remove content, suspend, or permanently remove accounts that breach these terms — immediately and without notice where safety requires it. Child sexual abuse and exploitation is never tolerated; see our Child Safety Standards. Nothing here obliges us to monitor everything, and safety features do not guarantee any member's conduct: please exercise the same judgment you would meeting anyone new.
6. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time from inside the app (Settings → Privacy & safety → Delete account), or request deletion without the app on our account deletion page. Either way we erase your data as described in our Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms.
7. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is". We work hard to keep it available, accurate and safe, but we can't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we are not a party to any interaction between members. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.
8. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you in connection with the service is limited to the greater of the amount you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim (the service is currently free) and £100.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction — though if you live elsewhere, you keep any protections your local law gives you that can't be agreed away.
10. Changes
We may update these terms as the product evolves. If a change is material, we'll tell you before it takes effect; continuing to use the service after that means you accept the updated terms.
